The Hijrah

Alhamdulillah RabbilAalameen AsSalaatu wasSalaam ‘Alaa RasoolihilKareem.

I begin writing this blog in this special month of Muharram 1447 AH with the permission of Allaah Glorified be He! May He accept this work as an attempt to gain His pleasure and His Maghfirah!

I’m inspired to share this topic of ‘Working for Allaah’ by the momentous event of the Hijrah of Rasoolullaah sallallaahu ‘alayhi was-sallam and his noble Sahaba from Makka to Yathrib - now known as Madina Munawwarah.

It was this event that heralded the ascendancy of Islam over the forces of Kufr - Ignorance and Disbelief in Allaah Subhanu wa Ta’ala. It is unfortunate that today the Muslim Ummah fails to acknowledge this momentous event in the history and dominance of Islam in which continues to permeate the entire world.

While this is unfortunate, it reflects the profound reality of the Muslims abandoning the divine mission of exclusively ‘Working for Allaah’ Glorified be He!

The Sahaba and the early generations of Muslims understood and exemplified this concept in their daily collective lives and practices.

I will attempt to explain over a number of short discourses what we should understand about this concept and more importantly how we can mold ourselves to be of those who ‘Work for Allaah’ Glorified be He!
